i’ve got nothin’.
i hate trying to come up with titles for these entries. i’m going to just start throwing in random lyrics or something, because i spend more time trying to come up with a title than i do typing out a post.
ANYHOW. first – i swear! i’m going to update more often! seriously, i’ll do it! if for no other reason than for esther, who keeps me in check every time i forget about it.
so the wedding is approaching quick. i’m pretty stoked. i’m happy as hell for shay and john, and it’s going to be great seeing some of these people again (i haven’t seen some of y’all since vegas ‘01 – most notably sweet baby james. needless to say, laura and i will be taping and dvd’ing the whole thing, which hopefully anyone who wants it can have a copy (assuming it’s okay with the happy couple.) i’ve still got to figure out some stuff like what i’m wearing (i dont know if my suit still fits – it’s been a LONG time since i’ve had to wear it.) thankfully, eric is letting us crash in his hotel room, which will hopefully save everyone involved some cash. and i get to meet esther – how great is that?
needless to say, that weekend is going to be some “debockery.”
that’s an inside joke. some of you get it, some of you don’t.
and while i’m talking about weddings, jason and emily have decided to get married in vegas! personal conflicts with certain people have prevented them from doing things according to plan, so they’re having a small wedding with family and a few friends in vegas. i’ve been looking for a reason to go back now that i’ve been legal for a while, and this is it. i’m a groomsman in the wedding, and i’ve been trying to convince jason that we (the groomsmen) should all be dressed as elvis impersonators with gold suits, sunglasses, and oversized acoustic guitars. wouldn’t that be memorable?
on a completely unrelated topic, the time is drawing very near for me to become a productive member of society and (gasp) join the real world. holy crap, is that scary or what. i’ve GOT to find a job soon – i won’t be able to survive another off-season on my current salary. i’ve got some resumes in here and there, but i haven’t REALLY started to crack down on it yet. i think it’s time…
…speaking of time, later on this afternoon (like, when i finish typing this all out) i have to set up an appointment for graduation advising. i know i’ve been in college for 5 years now, but it just doesn’t seem like it. i dont know if it’s really gone by that fast, or if i’ve just really gotten that little out of it, or what, but it doesnt seem like i should be walking out of here with a degree in 7 months.
i’ve got astronomy later on tonight, and i have to turn in my takehome test. this is crazy – the guy decided to give us a take home test, but it’s only 20 multiple choice questions. seriously, it took me like 20 minutes, maybe half an hour, to do the entire thing, and he gave it to us as a take home test and gave us the next class period off to work on it. overkill, much? if test 2 is like that, i’ll only be going to that class on test days.
and last, for now: any of you computer gurus out there want to help a fellow geek out? i’m taking my sisters computer (that she doesnt want anymore) and i’m re-partitioning and installing linux on it, just because i can. any of you linux folks out there know how to network a win2k and linux machine together?
