yes, esther, i know it’s may. 
i know it’s been OVER a month now, but i’ve been so busy it’s not even funny, between finals, work (which, this is our busiest month of the year,) and life in general (may is birthday month – in the last week there’s been 4 birthdays – including mine) i’m lucky if i have time to do routine things like take a shower.
that being said, it’s all over and all i have now is work. so, hopefully i’ll have a bit more time on my hands.
and, like i said, my birthday has once again come and gone.
had a good time, i guess. it was the 23rd, which was a friday this year. i spent the day at work, and then left early (about 5:00 pm) to go to dinner with my parents. came back, had some ice cream cake, and just lounged around for the night (and the next day.)
laura bought me, along with some cd’s and dvd’s, one of those 5-guitar on stage stands. which is great, because i’ve got 5 guitars and 4 of them need a stand. takes up a lot less room than having each guitar on a seperate stand, and that’s a good thing – i’m about out of room.
everyone else pretty much gave me money. my parents paid for my billy joel and elton john ticket, along with a little extra cash, and my grandparents gave me a total of $80 between them. i’ve still got a few relatives left to collect from, but it’s nothing big. a $10 gift card somewhere, most likely.
i bought a dvd+rw drive with my birthday money, so now i can make *real* dvd’s, instead of trying to burn stuff onto vcd’s (which, while it’s not cheating, i just feel cheap doing it that way.)
i’m thinking about dvd’ing the vegas video i have, and some other home videos for my parents.
if anyone needs some vhs tapes dvd’d, i’ll do it for a small fee to cover some basic costs and my time. unless it’s something i want a copy of, and then i’ll do it for free.
i’m thinking about starting that dvd business i posted about a while ago. this is the link to my plan/idea, incomplete as ever.
i’ve got more, but i’ll save it for later to keep me blogging more often.
