that’s about it, for real. spent all day at work, now i’m tired. gonna bust some ass tomorrow though, because im sick of people not doing shit.

anyway. worked my ass off today. we were busy as shit. but at the same time, it was a blast. me, brett, ken, and mike were all being funny as shit while we were trying to get 2500 people in and out in an hour and a half. i think i figured out that we got screwed really bad on this special event — we calculated prices just enough to cover cost, and i dont think we’re going to see a dime of it. oh well, we’ll get it figured out. if nothing else, i’ll get a t-shirt out of it.

im thinking about hitting sandstone in september now. i know that it will be the 5th time i’ve seen dmb this year, but im thinking about trying to pull it off. we’ll see what happens, i need to find tickets and wait for laura to make a school schedule first.

i ordered bela fleck and the flecktones ‘live at the quick’ dvd today. it’s from 2000, and it’s got about 6 different guests on it. should be here by wednesday — good shit. expect a full review.

so im to the point right now that i’m not sure what i want to do with my life anymore. i know i want to finish up this degree i’m working on if for no other reason than to have something to show for the last 4 years. but i dont know if this is what i want. i know i’m not really too keen on being a restaruant manager for the rest of my working life, and thats about it. im open to anything. i’ve been thinking about accounting, economics, all kinds of stuff. but all i know is that i enjoy working with computers. it’s a hobby of mine. i dont know that i want to do that for a living anymore because i know that i’ll get a job, i’ll wind up hating it because i do it 40 hours a week, and then i wont enjoy it anymore.

kind of the same reason i won’t take guitar lessons. i enjoy playing, and it’s an emotional release for me, and i dont feel like anyone should be telling me how i should or shouldnt play.

and THAT is why i’m not a rockstar.

i was going to post an update on here a few days ago, and then i decided for whatever reason to just wait a few more days and make it an even month since the last update. needless to say, i fucked that up too, because a month would have been yesterday.

so, once again, i’ve almost finished a design for the v3.0, and scrapped it in lieu of something better last minute. this is the third, maybe fourth, time i’ve done this with version 3.0. it’s getting old. i think that i might finish this one up just in time for the fall/winter season. with any luck, i’ll have my shit together with this new design so that changing it across the entire site will only take, say, 5 minutes. but all you folks using an out-of-date netscape? you’re fucked. (theres only like 2 of you, according to my stats — netscape sucks anyway.) so i think im going to use one of the designs i’ve scrapped as a starting point for laura’s site, which she has decided to have me design.

so i made the move back to lakeside this month. it’s not bad, contrary to popular belief, and im actually pretty happy there. i’m thinking that was a good move all around. and, believe it or not, that’s all i’ve got to say about work for a change.

im finally getting around to registering for next semester. i’ve got three classes so far (9 hours), and im looking for one more class (3 hours.) i was looking at my degree audit today, and realized that im almost done with college. i’ve got 2 international studies classes, 1 natural science (no lab, just lecture), and about 6 business classes left, and then i graduate. holy crapola, that’s scary. im going to start taking this school shit seriously, because i’d like to get a real job eventually. tentatively, graduation is slated for may ‘04.
