its been a while…
its been a while. i havent posted anything up here since last month… i dont know — plenty has been going on in my life — i just havent felt very motivated to put it up. shocked, right? ROIGHT. this’ll be a long one, so grab a beer and enjoy the ride.

the blue wonder? my prized beretta? piece of shit’s GONE! traded it in, got a grand for it from the dealer (screwed that guy), and picked up a 2002 chevy cavalier. metallic indigo blue. shit’s TIGHT, and its got a stereo that will wake the dead. for whatever its worth, i’ve already beat sean’s ventura with it. so, im going to get personalized plates… options are currently “jenks”, “jenky”, “b jenky”, “b jenks”, and maybe something music related, i dont know, like “num 41″ or something. also, need a name for the car. “blue wonder” has been retired, so i need something new. “fearsome four-banger” has been suggested, but im thinking not. shoot me some ideas or leave me some comments, please.

first and foremost, pityriasis rosea revisited. so, the doc at the ER told me that this would be going away (without treatment) in 6 weeks. six weeks? come and gone. rozea? still here, and getting worse. ive gone from having a few spots here and there to having my chest, groin, upper legs, and arms all covered by this rash… not only that, but its gone from being spots to literally one solid uncomfortable patch.
so last tuesday, my mother the nurse calls the dermatologist to set up an appointment for me. my options are the next day (10/3/01) or two weeks from then (10/17/01). I told her to go ahead with the 17th, and quickly changed my mind and had her sign me up for the next day. doctor takes one look at it, and says “have you had trouble sleeping? have you been tired? has your mind been wandering? have you been irritable? have you been sleeping ALOT?” well, yeah.
ive got a mutated strain of this shit, he says, and its going to consume my ENTIRE body if untreated. so he puts me on high doses of prednisone for two weeks. its suppose to make me “very outspoken and moody,” fuck up my metabolism and appetite, and lower my immune system defenses. he also said that had i waited the next two weeks, it would have been too late and he couldnt have stopped it. drugs are good.

ahh, yes. not even a year into a new presidency, and hes already blowing shit up. good to know. in all seriousness, i am TOTALLY in favor of military strikes. why? ernie put it best (stolen from ernies house of whoopass):
What to do if you happen upon a peace rally by naive hemp-shirt-wearing college kids, to teach them why force is sometimes needed:
1) Approach student talking about “peace” and saying there should be, “no retaliation.”
2) Engage in brief conversation, ask if military force is appropriate.
3) When he says “No,” ask, “Why not?”
4) Wait until he says something to the effect of, “Because that would just cause more innocent deaths, which would be awful and we should not cause more violence.”
5) When he’s in mid sentence, punch him in the face as hard as you can.
6) When he gets back up to up to punch you, point out that it would be a mistake and contrary to his values to strike you, because that would, “be awful and he should not cause more violence.”
7) Wait until he agrees that he has pledged not to commit additional violence.
Punch him in the face again, harder this time.
Repeat steps 5 through 8 until they understand that sometimes it is necessary to hit back.
not quite exactly my thoughts, but its close. we shouldn’t be targeting innocents and civilians, and i honestly beleve that we aren’t. but at the same time, its not OUR governments responsibility to take care of the ENEMY’s people during a time of war — that’s THEIR governments responsibility, and if THEIR government is taking innocent people and having them hang out at military bases and terrorist camps, thats on them, but everyone knew this was coming and understands why it needs to happen — even the vatican.
